			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Other day, when my websites went down and I tried contacting the server support, I encountered the most unhelpful guys on earth. Usually the support guys are very prompt, but, the other day, I went through hell. So, I took time to surf around for more servers with &#8220;kind&#8221; support staff. While searching, I came across this <a href="http://webhostinggeeks.com"><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);">web hosting rating</span></a> site. They are called web web hosting rating. I looked at their alexa stats and saw 63k odd rank. It means a lot of people use them, and surely be very popular. </p>
<p>The first impression was also good. I normally hate sites that do not display subject matter at home page. The site had all the answers to the question like, what should be the web server buying criteria. Next question was if they are rigged stats. So I checked sample pages like the <a href="http://webhostingrating.com/linux-hosting/"><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);">Linux Hosting</span></a>.<br />
<span id="more-267"></span><br />
The Linux hosting page was backed with customer testimonials. I like that because it gives a 3rd party picture. A web host could give out the biggest space, the highest bandwidth, but, if the customer is unhappy, there is no point. I once faced a situation like that. A web server host asked me for a payment if I wanted their support immediately or I can wait for the free support. I quit the 2nd day of the trial period. </p>
<p>If you are unhappy with the services of a host, you can definitely sign up on web hosting rating website and feed your point of view on the host. Similarly, if you like a host, you can tell that too, it will help others in making a decision.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The first time I hunted for a web hosting service, it was tedious. I am sure its same for everyone who does it for the first time. Lot of us have purchased it via reseller. Some people are more internet savvy and use search engine for the server space and arrive at mind boggling and confusing offers. Most of the times, we find that the web host does not suit our requirements. But, its traumatic to switch web servers due to bad experience or figuring it out too late. </p>
<p>There is a smarter way of figuring out which web hosting is good for us.<br />
<span id="more-249"></span><br />
Most of us are looking for low cost web hosting. But, one needs to figure out if they have a good up time or some other parameters like feature availability. Others are looking for Dedicated web hosting. These two are majority of the cases, as I know.</p>
<p>Some site like this <a href="http://webhostinggeeks.com/"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">web hosting directory</span></a> can help you to find such reviews. For example, if you looking for budget hosting, you can check out their page <a href="http://webhostinggeeks.com/bestbudgethosting.html"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">best budget hosting</span></a>. The website gives list of hosts with reviews and rankings. As a customer, you can also give a review on the particular server company. User reviews are very important to inform others of a potential good or bad service.</p>
<p>There are other parameters of searching for a web host like dedicated e-commerce host, dedicated linux hosting, dedicated windows hosting, blog hosting etc. Its best to consult a web hosting directory in addition to other ways, so that we minimize bad experience. </p>

<p>1) Content 2) keeping the site simple and not participating in internet&#8217;s bad habits 3) Used twitter, Google and email list to grow.</p>
<p>Few things that naturally came along with it. One is doubling of ad revenue.<br />
<span id="more-236"></span><br />
It was the roadmap 2010 that helped achieve it. Although it got into that slot lot of days ago, I just wanted to wait and watch before trumpeting it. </p>
<p>Do you make roadmaps? Do you have a alexa top 100000? What are your thoughts?</p>

<p>I got into such situation the first time , I was aghast. But, I thought google cannot be end all. I went for twitter. Opened an account and slowly people started coming. Not as many I suppose. I also put up a subscribe link. Yahoo and MSN brought in the additional traffic.<br />
<span id="more-239"></span><br />
I suppose, you will thank what about monetization? </p>
<p>Adsense has not banned my account because of these two sites. I also did what could be logically done, i.e, milk these sites. How? Apply to paid links services like <a href="http://www.teliad.com/affiliates.html?id=28121">teliad</a>.</p>
<p>I have some reasonable revenue coming from it.</p>
<p>What is your experience?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Text Link Ads or TLA in my own opinion is a must have if you every consider selling links on your blog. It will help you get a meaningful revenue every month which can be credited to your paypal account or get a check or Prepaid Debit MasterCard® powered by Payoneer or TLA Voucher (Use your publisher earnings to purchase advertisements at TLA). There is no minimum for Paypal payment and TLA Voucher. Other methods have 25$ minimum.</p>
<p>Although you can add scripts provided by them for automatic ad placements, but, I would recommend that you don&#8217;t. Use the manual option. You don&#8217;t want to alert the search engines, do you? One of my clients site uses the scripts. He had issues.<br />
<span id="more-226"></span><br />
Pricing of your website is unfortunately not in your control. They use their own logic for that. Looking at the history of my earning, I have realized that the revenue steadly increases over a period of time. remember to make a 50:50 partnership with them. </p>
<p>There is something about them I don&#8217;t like. Read this: </p>
<blockquote><p>Can I run Text Link Ads along with other ad systems I am currently running?</p>
<p>Yes, Text Link Ads can be run along any contextually served product. <strong>We do require that TLA be the sole provider of static HTML advertisements</strong>, as this will protect the value of the advertisements as well as give you the highest payout.</p></blockquote>
<p><script type="text/javascript">
/* < ![CDATA[ */
function affiliateLink(str){ str = unescape(str); var r = ''; for(var i = 0; i < str.length; i++) r += String.fromCharCode(8^str.charCodeAt(i)); document.write(r); }
affiliateLink('4i%28%60zmn5*%60%7C%7Cx2%27%27%7F%7F%7F%26%7Cmp%7C%25dafc%25il%7B%26kge%277zmn599%3D1%3C%3B*64aeo%28%7Bzk5*%60%7C%7Cx2%27%27%7F%7F%7F%26%7Cmp%7C%25dafc%25il%7B%26kge%27aeiom%7B%27jiffmz%7B%27%7Bfgzm%25%3B88p%3A%3D8%26oan*%28jgzlmz5*8*%28id%7C5*%5Cmp%7C%28Dafc%28Il%7B*%2764%27i6');
/* ]]&gt; */
</script><br />
They require you to be not signing up with others. But, don&#8217;t get bogged down with that. Go ahead snd sign up with others. Just remember not to add scripts from other similar link networks for auto ad serving. </p>
<p>You can assured to be paid the first of every month.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Past two days have been eventful with respect to my <a href="http://www.linkworth.com?a=6665">LinkWorth</a> Account. First, they actually sent a proposal for paid review, secondly they have added MoneyBookers as the payment gateway in addition to Paypal.(<a href="https://www.moneybookers.com/app/?rid=15301262">Click Here</a> to open a MoneyBookers Account)</p>
<p>I opened a Linkworth account more than a year back. They had this unworkable wordpress plugin as a handout. When I sent a support request, they asked me for my server details to do it themselves. I was not comfortable. Indecision led me to hibernate on the decision till I decided to entirely do away with all of the text link advertisers plugins.<br />
<span id="more-214"></span><br />
Two months back, I decided to login again and check for any new updates. As I reviewed I saw that revenue sharing was 70/30 %. Most ad networks don&#8217;t like that. So, I changed it as 50/50 %. That worked. After 2 months, they sent me a quality customer. </p>
<p>Normally, I am a quick reviewer and I always go an extra mile for the quality customer. So, I got my review approved quickly.</p>
<p>One of my observations is that LinkWorth has a lot of link advertising categories and you can get confused what they mean or how to get those options implemented.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>WordPress is probably the easiest to install and the most frustrating part is the theme customization. There are very few non techies or even techies who would not agree. </p>
<p>When I first started my wordpress website, I looked around for a magazine or a newspaper theme. I went in circles. There were only paid themes. One free theme which was available was pure black and white. The other I saw was unsuitable as the side bars would drop down. Then I learn&#8217;t that all wordpress themes look same.<br />
<span id="more-210"></span><br />
So, I thought atleast I should get a 4 column theme. Hahaha!, even that was not available. I got one with two sidebars dropping each time I pot an advertisement on it.</p>
<p>To many of us serious bloggers, there is no way out. Either put up with free themes with less functionality or code our own theme. Coding our own there is a daunting task for a beginner and even some Pro&#8217;s. </p>
<p>Finally I ended up buying a book how to to code themes. Those days every dollar was bit too much to spend. But I considered it as an investment and it paid off. <a href="http://82b58wtixctj5n84r7ldqlqseb.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=CUBWORDPRESSMAGAZINETHEM" target="_top">Click Here</a> to buy this book. It costs just $17 now.</p>
